Points come from finishing coding steps anywhere they are set — challenges, Dev Track lessons and AI Lab modules all count. The order reflects work done rather than time spent logged in; everyone here earned their place by writing code.

A step is one stage of a lesson — a lesson, a quiz, an exercise, a review lab or a mini project — and the harder ones are worth more: 10 points for reading a lesson, 15 for a quiz, 25 for an exercise, 30 for a review lab, and 40 or more for a mini project. Two people on the same number of steps can sit far apart on points, because the one who built things outranks the one who read about them.

A flag appears once someone chooses a country on their profile. It is never guessed from where you connect from, so an empty space simply means that person has not set one.
